Victoria Garden is also known as Lokmanya Tilak Baug. The Garden is located at Riverfront, Ellisbridge. Near the Sunday market known as Ravivari or Gujarati operated since the 1950s. It is a Colonial-Period Public Park. It was made in the British Period. The park has many trees, birds, and bats roost, fountains, a Play area for children, and exercise instruments for adults. The garden named after Queen Victoria. Her statue was in the centre of the garden but now it is available in the Sanskar Kendra Museum. The garden is spread over 23,000 square meters.

The Statue of Tilak is here. Garden has many visitors, specially in weekend. It is Peaceful area and perfect place to visit in low budget. You can spend quality time with family. Its natural beauty gives relaxation to body and mind.

There is Ice cream, Pani puri and other street food available outside of garden. After visiting garden, you can do shopping also. In budget from Sunday market or Teen Drawaza.

Recently, Victoria Garden was properly planted again. It’s wonderful for kids because, from the look of things, there are swings, slides, and lots of other play areas. When parents want to take a stroll, they can leave their kids alone on the playground and walk stress-free, which is good for the body as well. There’s a kid security rationale. And gym instruments for adults also available. It is best place for morning and evening walk or exercise and to spend weekend quality time with family.

When was garden built?

Officials from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s garden department claim that on May 31, 1897, a group of influential citizens proposed creating the park as a tribute to Queen Victoria.
